  • Tides shift. Seasons turn. I move forward in the world...but still.

In every wave, in every breath of the breeze, in every exhale...you remain.

Salt wind stings, horizon opens wide to memories, my heart aches for your presence...but still.

Even though you're gone, you're with me.

Your voice now silent, but here, I hear your wisdom...still.

    Still, always, you will remain.

  • Breath. Renewal. Life. Oxygen. This new emotive coastscape seeks to capture the exhale of nature which offers both clarity and surrender; the cleansing inhale after a storm, the fresh salty breeze that awakens our senses, the endless sky and vast ocean that remind us of our fragility, but also resilience.

Mirroring the duality of the human spirit which can carry both the weight of turbulence and calm, only possible by the rhythmic balance of our inhale and exhale. Oxygen.

  • Emotive. Expressive. Passionate. Bold. Captivating. All the awe and majesty of a hot pink sunset over shoreline and headlands. Evoking warmth, beauty, wonder, and a sense of quiet despite the intense striking colours that beg to hold your attention.

Here I find a deep sense of connection - lost to the outside world I can pause within the world on the canvas. The beauty of a sunset is fleeting, but here, within this painting that I'm so in love with, it lives on; unforgettable, inviting reflection, a constant inspiration from one day to the next of the beauty and wonder in our world.

This gorgeous coastal landscape will hopefully hold a special place in your heart, as it does mine.

  • Here, where the coastline exists in its own quiet stillness, a sweep of tender, warm light signals hope. Whether it's the sun rising or setting, its arrival and departure is both a majestic yet subtle force. Though gentle, its presence is utterly transformative, reminding us that change, much like the dawn or dusk, is always within reach.

Sometimes, all that's needed for this change is for us to be still awhile; to acknowledge its presence, to be open to new possibilities, to give ourselves grace in the process...and then? And then comes hope.

  • Where do you find your solace? Comfort? Peace? It's no surprise for those that know my work that I find it at the coast. What I've learnt over the years though is that it doesn't just come to us. We have to seek it. Making a conscious decision to take time out for ourselves is hard when life keeps throwing curve balls. But it's necessary.

The coast on a balmy blue sky day brings refreshment, healing and nourishment for my soul, but so too does a moody, breezy, overcast day.

The comfort and soothing melody of the waves crashing, the lush headlands, the fresh salty air against skin, that's all I need, and I'm content. Here is my solace. And I'll continue to seek it always.

I hope this artwork inspires you to do the same.

  • While there's many people that associate grey skies and rain with low mood, it actually lifts mine! It's comforting in itself, but more than that, I know it's where rainbows begin. The promise of light, hope, a reminder of my faith, and a little hazy colour in the sky is always a heartwarming moment for me, despite the dark clouds that may linger.

At the coast, those muted rainbows are even more anticipated. A beautiful sky to match the rugged beautiful coastline. Alone time to absorb the wonder and majesty of the skies, ocean and earth. Where rainbows begin is where my hope is restored.

  • Like the tempest ocean waters that find refuge in quiet bays on a shoreline, I find refuge here. Tired from life, hurting from heartache, it is the coast that brings me healing and hope on the harder days. Under a moody sky with rain clouds hovering, it is quiet, still, despite the storm that may rage.

Trees defiant and enduring despite the elements, and waves that are constant and persistent -  metaphors for self when I'm in need of strength and resilience.

I find comfort here. Refuge here. I hope you can find it too, within this special artwork.

  • A visual breath, this new intuitive artwork is inspired by the quiet anticipation of journeys we take toward places that soothe and restore, heal and bring hope, in this case, the coast.

There’s an emotional pull I feel when I’m away from the coast too long. It’s a beckoning call I can’t ignore, and so soon enough, I’ll once again find myself travelling these quiet winding roads through lush countryside, anticipation building for the exhale that waits up ahead. Where upon arrival, worries and frustrations, daily challenges and the stresses of life are not amplified by the moody overcast skies that may threaten, but instead carried away. In their place - comfort, contentment, and peace.

  • We all crave a little serenity at times. Quiet time to shut out the noise and distractions of the world and just pause and be still. This sweet little coastscape evokes that serenity and quiet for me, and hopefully you too. I can almost feel the warmth of the sunset, hear the gentle lull of waves meeting shoreline, and smell the fresh salty air to calm the senses. Here my heart rate slows, my mind stops racing, and I can find the contentment and peace I so desperately need, a little serenity.

  • Spark a little joy in yours or someone else's life with this little floral inspired by pink wild tulips. Bright pops of colourful blooms in a deep sea green clay pot, contrast against an impasto backdrop, inspired by shabby chic vintage interiors. I can't help but feel that little spark of joy when looking at this one. Hope you feel that too.

  • We all walk through dark seasons that feel endless. This dramatic new artwork is a promise - light will break through. In our heaviest moments when we feel alone and disconnected, hope is already on the way. Shadows may cling stubbornly, but the light that comes to pierce the horizon illuminates the truth, darkness simply cannot exist when light is present.

This dramatic and expressive piece will hopefully serve as a reminder to you to not give up, to persevere, to keep going. Day by day, moment by moment - it may be the darkest it's ever been, but hang in there, the light is coming.

  • As long balmy days roll into dusk, a sense of calm and quiet gently descends over hills and valleys...it's time to exhale. Time to shift focus. Time to let go of whatever unfolded during the day and move forward in anticipation towards evening rest.

Softly transitioning skies herald stillness, contented horses graze quietly in the last of the sun's rays, and a sense of peace blankets the lush landscape.

This time of day serves as a reminder from nature of its beauty and wonder, awe and magnitude. Here, when the landscape exhales after a long day of provision and sustenance, we, with gratitude, get to exhale with it.
