The painting comes framed with an oak floating frame, but if preferred can be ordered stained with a red cedar or jarrah stain for an added richness.

  • Summer Lightning Storm is a vibrant addition to my new series of work that delves into the enchanting theme of the Music of the Night. This piece captures the dramatic beauty and intensity of a summer storm, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in its atmospheric allure.

In creating this artwork, I’ve employed a rich palette that features shades of maroon, pink and bright ultra white. These colours blend harmoniously to evoke a striking scene that mirrors the dynamic energy of a summer lightning storm. The clouds, which are the focal point of the composition, dominate the canvas, floating gracefully across the sky. Their presence is both commanding and ethereal, suggesting a powerful yet beautiful display of nature’s wonders.

This piece is elegantly framed with an oak floating frame, which adds a touch of warmth and sophistication while perfectly complementing the richness of the artwork.

Each piece is signed on the front with Lucinda and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, certifying its originality and artistic value.

  • Queen Of The Night is a striking painting from my Music of the Night series, capturing the enchanting beauty of the night sky. This large canvas is painted in rich, velvety shades of midnight blue, transforming the night into a mesmerizing stage where clouds sway and dance to the subtle melodies of the evening. The ever-shifting forms of the clouds create a sense of movement, inviting viewers to imagine the gentle hum of the universe resonating around them.

The artwork is presented in a beautifully handcrafted oak floating frame, enhancing its visual appeal while ensuring it’s ready to hang right away. For those who prefer a different aesthetic, the frame can also be ordered stained in rich red cedar or jarrah, adding a warm touch to complement the artwork.

  • In the evocative embrace of midnight blue, Cloud’s Illusions captures the ethereal beauty and complexity of the night sky, drawing viewers into its serene yet enigmatic depths. This piece is part of the Music of the Night series, a collection inspired by the interplay of sound, emotion, and the visual manifestation of dreams that dance on the precipice of consciousness. Each stroke of paint in Cloud’s Illusions resonates with the haunting melodies of Judy Collins’ rendition of Both Sides Now, a song that explores the duality of perception, the blend of clarity and illusion—much like the ever-shifting clouds above.

The handmade oak floating frame encircles the painting with natural elegance, accentuating the work without overshadowing it.

Signed on the front with Lucinda, the painting comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, assuring collectors of its originality and quality. My dedication to excellence is further evident in the choice of artist-grade materials, ensuring that the piece not only captivates the eye, but stands the test of time.

  • Silver Pink Skies forms part of the Above the Canopy series, a collection of works inspired by the rich colours and unique atmosphere of the Australian landscape. These paintings are an attempt to capture the essence of a land that holds a beauty unlike any other, a beauty that is often difficult to describe to those who have never stood beneath its trees or breathed in its air.

In creating Silver Pink Skies, I immersed myself in the colours that define this place—the silvery greens of the leaves, the deep russet bark, the way sunlight transforms and dances across its surface. The painting is not only about a tree, but about the atmosphere surrounding it, the sense of stillness and renewal that comes from being near it. My hope is that the work allows others to experience even a fragment of that feeling, no matter where it may hang.

Each painting I make is signed with my name, Lucinda, a personal mark of authenticity. Every piece is also accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, so you can feel confident in its provenance.

  • The Watcher Of The Dust Road: In the heart of the Australian outback, where the land stretches quiet and unyielding under an endless sky, a lone ghost gum stands sentinel. Twisted by years of sun and wind, it has watched countless storms roll in, their shadows tumbling across the dusty road that slices through the ochre plain. Once, this track carried mailmen, wanderers, and dreamers—each leaving behind only faint wheel ruts and the scent of stories half-told.

The artwork will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, assuring the purchaser of its quality and provenance. The painting will be carefully packaged for its journey to its new home, ensuring it arrives in perfect condition.

  • Night Lights holds a moment of suspension within the night sky — a pause where heavy cloud begins to open and light seeps through without urgency. The scene is not dramatic, but weighted, shaped by the calm that follows weather, rather than the storm itself.

The composition is pared back and deliberate. A single opening in the cloud becomes the focus, not as an event, but as a quiet release. Light reflects gently across the water below, anchoring the painting and allowing the eye to rest. Nothing moves quickly here; the atmosphere settles rather than shifts.

Accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity, this is a one-of-a-kind oil painting.

  • Just Before The Rains Came encapsulates a moment of anticipation and tension in nature,  rendered in a blend of blues and beige. The landscape is painted in oil, giving it a rich, textured quality that invites the viewer to dive deeper into the scene.

In the foreground, a solitary tree dominates the composition. Its trunk stands resilient, but what captures attention are the exposed roots, dramatically illustrated as they stretch outwards. These roots symbolize the tree’s desperation, actively searching for water in a parched land. The detail of the roots convey a sense of struggle and survival, invoking empathy from the observer. The beige tones of the ground amplify the sense of drought, contrasting with the impending relief that the clouds promise.

  • What the Sky Kept sits in the stillness that follows weather — where the sky has shifted, but something of its weight remains.

A low, suspended cloud holds the centre of the work, neither advancing nor receding, while the land beneath is reduced to the lightest suggestion of place. The painting resists description, instead offering a space where atmosphere carries meaning.

Painted in oil with softened edges and restrained tonal movement, the surface holds a quiet tension. Nothing is resolved completely. The work rests in that in-between — after movement, before clarity.

This piece forms part of a more contemplative body of work, where landscape becomes internal. It reflects not the event of weather, but its residue — what lingers, what settles, what is kept.

Framed in natural oak and ready to hang.

  • Salt in the Air captures the moment after weather has moved through, when the coast feels hushed and suspended. A heavy bank of cloud drifts above the sea, softening as light begins to filter through from above. The shoreline remains quiet and distant, held in place beneath the shifting sky. This painting is about atmosphere rather than event, the lingering presence of salt, air, and stillness after intensity has passed.

This painting is an original oil painting exploring coastal atmosphere and stillness. Layered storm clouds stretch across the sky, hovering above a calm sea and pale shoreline. The palette is restrained and tonal, built from deep blues, softened greys and muted light, evoking the smell of salt and the quiet that follows changing weather. The composition invites slow looking, offering a sense of space, pause and emotional calm, rather than drama.

  • The Long Quiet sits in the space where weather has already spoken and the land has absorbed what was said. Nothing is arriving, nothing is leaving. The painting holds that moment of suspension that follows movement, when the air has settled and the ground feels steady again. It is not a dramatic stillness, but a deep one — the kind that carries memory and weight.

This work grew out of a long engagement with open landscapes and subdued horizons, places where the eye can travel without obstruction and the mind can slow. The land here is not described in detail, instead it is suggested through broad planes, muted colour, and a restrained structure that allows space to do the work. The emphasis is on atmosphere and presence rather than narrative. What matters is not what happened before, or what might come next, but what remains.

This original painting comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
