Scratch the Surface is all about curiosity — that itch to dig a little deeper and see what’s really there. Layers of moody navy, soft neutrals and warm textures sit alongside bold pops of hot pink and golden yellow, as if little secrets are peeking through. The marks and lines feel like trails left behind by someone exploring, tracing paths and uncovering hidden stories beneath. It’s a reminder that there’s always more to discover if you’re willing to look past the obvious — and sometimes, what’s underneath is even more beautiful than what’s on top.

Tightrope is all about that feeling of walking the line—between chaos and calm, boldness and hesitation, clarity and uncertainty. The title came to me as I was working through the layers, trying to find balance without smoothing everything out too much. Just like walking a literal tightrope, there’s a sense of tension and movement here, but also control and poise.
There are heavy black marks and vibrant pops of hot pink and electric blue that cut through the more neutral tones, kind of like emotional flashes or sudden turns in direction. The forms feel a little risky, a little playful—like they’re leaning into the unknown without falling over.
This piece is for anyone who knows that living boldly doesn’t mean having it all figured out—it just means showing up and holding your line, even when it wobbles a bit.

This one’s called Lemon Twist—and honestly, the title just stuck the moment those zesty yellows started swirling around on the canvas. It’s got that playful energy of something tangy and unexpected, like a splash of lemon in a drink you didn’t see coming but suddenly love.
There’s a brightness to it, but it’s layered with deeper, moodier tones too—like life’s sweet-sour mix. The loops and lines feel like movement, rhythm, even a bit of chaos, but with a refreshing kick. It’s a painting that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but still has something to say.
If you’re into bold pops of energy, a bit of spontaneity, and that feeling of shaking things up—Lemon Twist might be your vibe.

This painting is a story of self-affirmation. I have felt a powerful surge of love in my life lately, and I’m allowing the wave to bring me to new heights of appreciation and contentment. It’s love for the life that I have, for the way I’m now able to articulate my feelings through my art, and for the authentic self within that has never given up on fully being seen. I believe the stars shine for each one of us who reach this point of acceptance and empowerment, and especially to guide those of us still struggling to get there. Come along, the views from here will amaze you.
Includes Tasmanian oak frame.

This piece is called Night Sky, and it’s really about that quiet, open feeling you get when you look up after dark. There’s something so expansive about the sky at night—like it’s holding secrets, memories and maybe even a bit of magic. I wanted to bring that mystery and softness into this painting.
The deep blues and velvety blacks mix with lighter, hazy whites and flickers of green and gold—almost like stars, distant lights, or shifting clouds. It’s dreamy, atmospheric and a bit meditative, like standing outside at night and letting your thoughts drift.
This one’s for the stargazers, the daydreamers, or anyone who’s ever found comfort in the stillness of a night sky.

Dancing on the Jetty is a love letter to the sea, and a nod to the music that makes your heart race. Inspired by my fascination with ocean horizons and my soft spot for INXS, this piece feels like moonlight hitting the water, waves lapping at the pier, and that electric moment when a favourite song kicks in. The deep blues and inky blacks swirl with purples and light bursts — like reflections on wet timber — creating a rhythm you can almost hear. It’s about freedom, salt air and dancing like nobody’s watching.

This painting takes its name from the Coldplay song—the one that makes you feel wide open and a little weightless. Sky Full of Stars is about that mix of melancholy and awe you get when you look up at the night sky and everything feels a bit bigger than you are.
The paintings hint at city buildings—maybe rooftops or windows—bathed in soft twilight blues and pale lilacs, with little glints of white like stars just starting to show. There's a sense of quiet, but also movement, like the city hasn’t quite gone to sleep yet. You might find yourself imagining you’re looking out from an apartment window, or walking home late, with music in your ears and your thoughts drifting.
I wanted this one to feel dreamy but grounded. A night sky that’s not out in the wilderness—but right above us, in the middle of our messy, beautiful lives.

This painting tells the story of my love of the sea. As a family, we have always enjoyed exploring along the beach and sifting through the various objects, pebbles driftwood and shells and the gorgeous green and blue sea glass. I wanted to capture the simple pleasure of exploring the beach, discovering its hidden secrets and taking home small treasures as keepsakes of the seaside. Includes Tasmanian oak frame.

This painting is about a recent trip to Vanuatu. We took a banana boat to the island of Pele during spectacular 55km winds. There is beautiful crystal green reefs as you arrive on Pele. The canvas had already lots of depth from a live painting session so I could create lots of colours and layers. I have tried to capture the tumultuous boat ride and the beauty underneath us.

Lucid Dream is all about that strange, vivid space where everything feels both real and unreal at the same time. You know those dreams where you suddenly become aware you’re dreaming—but instead of waking up, you just sink deeper in? That was the mood I leaned into for this piece.
The deep blues and smoky textures give it that dreamy, underwater kind of atmosphere, while the bright pops—like that hit of red—feel like symbols trying to break through. Things are blurred, but purposeful. You might not know exactly what you’re seeing, but it still feels familiar, like a memory or emotion just out of reach.
This painting is about drifting between the conscious and unconscious—floating through your own inner world, wide awake inside the dream.

This painting was inspired by the mystery of those hidden places that feel both mysterious and comforting at the same time. The painting draws on the idea of caves and secret spaces — places where light filters in softly and everything feels still and reflective. Grotto is about discovery, stillness, and the beauty you find when you look beneath the surface.

This painting is the trail head sign pointing me down a new path. Vibrant hues, bold shapes and confident contrasts. I felt as I was painting this as if I was coming into my own, hitting a sweet spot where my artistic forays are the clearest expressions of my inner feelings. I am excited to experience what this path has in store for me, I intend to follow it for a while.

Three Sails was inspired by the feeling of movement—gliding forward, carried by something unseen. The title hints at sails catching the wind, maybe heading into something new, maybe drifting into calm. There’s a sense of direction here, but also mystery—like a journey you’re not quite sure where it’s headed, but you’re going anyway.
The deep ocean blues and emerald greens anchor the piece, while the bright hits of white and lime feel like light breaking through. You might spot the three shapes that hint at sails, boats, or waves—but like any abstract work, it’s open to how you see it.
This painting is a quiet nod to freedom, exploration and that open-sea kind of feeling when anything feels possible.
