  • This painting is a tribute to a friend we lost far too soon. Kevin had a brilliant mind, full of interesting perspective and insights, which I first discovered whilst on a tour of Taiwan. Of course, there is sorrow on the canvas, but it is juxtaposed against a more powerful and uplifting sense of celebration for the life he led.

The connection to the title may seem random, but in fact, Walking in Memphis is a song about being transformed, awoken. The song-writer (Marc Cohen) found himself a different person after his soul-searching journey. I like to think about the relationships we forge in this life as making an indelible mark on our souls, and when we celebrate and honour them, we too are awoken.

  • This painting is an ode to my favourite sounds in nature, which all happen to be characterized as Pink Noise. I painted it during a blustery winter storm from the cosy haven of my studio, where the steady drum of the rain soothed me.

Pink noise is a constant in the background, filtering out the distractions of jarring sounds that pollute our peace. It consists of all frequencies the human ear can detect, but is distributed more powerfully at the lower-frequency end of the spectrum. This gives it that rumbling depth we hear when waves crash on a beach, or winds rustle through trees. Pink noise is also one of the most common sounds in biological systems, like the beating of your lover’s heart.

  • This one’s called Raspberry Gelato, and honestly—it just feels like summer in a bowl. Sweet, bold, creamy and a little bit cheeky. The name came as the colours started to build—those rich raspberry pinks, soft pastels, and tangy citrus tones felt like a scoop of something joyful and totally indulgent.

There’s a playfulness in the marks and layers, like swirls and drips and that moment where things start melting into each other. It’s not neat or overly planned—more like a memory of a hot day, sticky fingers, and that first bright bite of something cold and perfect.

This painting is all about flavour, colour and letting go a little. It’s meant to lift the mood and bring some lighthearted fun to wherever it lives.

  • Fault Lines is about those cracks and shifts that run through our lives—moments of change that can feel uncertain but also open up new space and energy. The bold contrasts and layered textures in this piece reflect that tension between strength and fragility, light and shadow. It’s a reminder that even in the breaks, there’s beauty and movement forward.

  • In this painting titled I'm high but I'm grounded, my aim was to capture the essence of being fully present in the moment and connected to the earth. The vibrant colours and swirling patterns evoke a sense of both euphoria and groundedness, mirroring the lyrics of Alanis Morissette's song Hand in my pocket. This artwork should encourage you to embrace the balance between feeling elevated and entrenched in reality. Includes Tasmanian oak frame in black.

  • This series tells a story of Aussie pride, a feeling that overwhelmed me as I reflected on my 2022. The Sydney To Hobart Yacht Race every Boxing Day showcases amazing skill and endurance through treacherous waters. I’ve watched on both ends of the Bass Strait, as elegant vessels leave Sydney Harbour, and as only the grittiest among them arrive at Constitution Dock. It has always filled me with admiration and resolve to witness the adversity we can overcome.

  • Stillness evokes a sense of quiet contemplation with its moody tones and subdued palette. The muted colours and soft shadows create a serene atmosphere, inviting you to pause and reflect. In this painting, I aim to capture the beauty of silence and the peacefulness that can be found in moments of stillness. Framing available on request.

  • This piece is all about that quiet moment just before everything starts moving — when the boats are still, the water's calm and there's a kind of hush hanging in the air. I called it The Harbour because that’s what it felt like to me while painting it — a safe zone, a kind of visual anchoring point.

There is a section of red that reminds me of a tugboat — those tough little vessels that do all the behind-the-scenes work. They’re not flashy, but they’re vital. That pop of red gives the whole piece its heartbeat.

There’s this contrast between the open, lighter space above and the denser, grey area below — like sea meeting land, or sky reflecting in still water. It's abstract, of course, but there’s just enough suggestion of shapes to let your imagination dock where it wants.

It’s not a literal harbour, but it’s got the same energy: steady, grounded, and full of quiet purpose.

  • This painting is a light-hearted tribute to the bliss a good night’s sleep can bring. I awoke one morning feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, the melody of Sophie B. Hawkins’ As I Lay Me Down shimmering through my head. I headed straight to my studio, turned up the volume and celebrated the dreamy comfort of being held dear and waking up happy. I hope you feel the happy vibes infused in these mossy, golden tones, and dream-like textures. Sweet dreams!

  • Ice Queen has that cool, calm, untouchable kind of beauty — the kind that feels like winter air on your skin, crisp and fresh, with just a hint of mystery. Soft layers of icy blues, silvery whites and pale greys drift across the canvas like frozen clouds, while faint marks and lines peek through, as if something is stirring beneath the surface. She’s serene, but she’s also strong — the kind of queen who rules with quiet confidence. There’s a stillness here, but also a sparkle, like sunlight glancing off frost. It’s that perfect mix of elegance and edge, where the chill just makes you lean in closer.

  • In this painting titled As Pure as New York Snow, I wanted to capture the serene beauty and purity of freshly fallen snow in the bustling city of New York. The soft, white hues evoke a sense of tranquility and stillness, mirroring the lyric from Kim Carnes' song Bette Davis Eyes. The intention is to highlight an experience of the peacefulness and magic of a snowy day in the heart of the city that never sleeps.

  • The Pier was inspired by that in-between place where land meets water—where things slow down, shift and open up a little. There’s something about a pier that’s always felt symbolic to me. It’s a threshold, a lookout, a pause. You’re standing over the water, not quite out at sea, but not fully on the shore either.

This piece plays with that feeling of stillness and movement at the same time. You’ll see suggestions of structure—vertical lines like posts or walkways—and soft washes of blue and green, like reflections shifting in the water. Scribbled marks hint at things half-seen, like boats passing in the distance or wind-blown shadows. It’s peaceful, a bit nostalgic and leaves space for whatever you want to bring to it.

It’s for anyone who finds clarity near the water, or just loves that quiet moment at the end of the pier.

  • This painting is my welcome hug to 2022. I didn’t go out and watch fireworks, or celebrate at a fancy party, but I did reflect on my aspirations for what lies ahead. I picked up a brush to imagine all that is possible for the coming year, and felt elated to dare to hope for happiness, courage, peace and wisdom. With a few fireworks thrown in for good measure. Happy New Year, everyone!
