  • The last light on a dark day, highlighting the bright white of flowers and almost glistening, has inspired me to paint this somewhat fanciful abstract Night Garden. The colours are bright against darker blues, turquoise and greens in the background. The canvas has texture which highlights the white and gold outlines.

  • The third in this series of flowering plants in the garden. The flowers have been given a larger than life appearance on these small framed canvasses. This time the Leucadendron glows forth in its rich creamy yellow, set against the darker foliage. The inspiration for this series is the garden which never fails to delight.

  • The spring flowers and the reappearance of birds, and the odd butterfly in the garden, led to this still life with apples and beautiful pots of flowers. The foreground objects are detailed with a contemporary feel. Gold details add a little glamour and the butterflies, there are two, add whimsy to the painting.

  • This painting is another in the whimsical still life series. Watching the birds in the garden fossicking for food and just loving the fruits was the inspiration for this painting. The painting is impressionism in style with a little abstraction. The colours bright and the size perfect for any room in the home.

  • The inspiration for this pair of paintings was a section of the garden with the dark fence framing the variety of beautiful flowers. The colours and shapes in this diptych are semi abstract and have a relaxed feel. The paintings work equally well hung closely, or with a small separation.

The colours and shapes are semi abstract and have a relaxed feel. The painting is small but packs a punch of colour. It can be paired with the second painting to form a diptych.
