  • This seascape was inspired by the beautiful beaches on the Sunshine Coast. The light at the end of the day is really magical and I wanted to portray that feeling in the painting. I have used many layers of colour and some texture in various places. It is a colourful but subtle painting which would enhance any room.

  • A bright and cheerful painting of the ocean at high tide and on sunset. It is a large wrap around canvas and has very harmonious colours. It would be a lovely statement piece in any room.

  • The Hazards are a mountain range located in the Freycinet National Park on the east coast of Tasmania. We had a wonderful hike around the base of this mountain range and each morning we walked on the beach at Coles Bay with this wonderful mountain range as a backdrop. One morning it was very misty and this inspired me to paint the scene in these colours.  It is a large harmonious painting which would be a wonderful reminder of your trip to Tasmania or, if you live there, it would be good to bring this view inside your home. It is a textured warm painting which would have a feel-good effect in your room.

  • This abstract painting was created on a dreary, drizzly day after many such days the same. I needed something to cheer me up so I decided that if it was raining, it would be colourful rain and I proceeded to drizzle my paints onto the canvas in a rainy impression. These are some of my favourite colours and they always make me feel happy and depict the colours when the sun finally breaks through the clouds. The painting is a diptych made up of two 60cmx 60cm canvases to be hung together. It would make a colourful, harmonious statement in any room.

  • The colours in these original abstract paintings are reminiscent of the local rainbow lorikeets. In Noosa you see them flashing by most hours of the day. Our noisy, playful lorikeets are a big part of our environment, and of course their loud screeches as they jostle for a space at dusk, is a sound most people know. When my paperbarks are flowering in my garden, I am visited by dozens of lorikeets and I have many wonderful photographs of them. My aim was to portray the flash of colour through the trees as the lorikeets fly around. I have used texture and bold harmonious colours. They would make a colourful statement on any wall. Framed with a black frame.

The individual paintings measure 38.5cm x 51cm and may be bought separately now @ $350 each.

The set of four paintings would measure approximately 155 cm x 51cm if hung together. The total price for all four is $1400.

  • This textured, harmonious diptych was inspired by my walks around the lake and the beautiful light on the water. It is an impression which may mean different things to different people. It is painted on raw linen which gives the painting a softer look to the colours and it would be a stunning piece in any room. The two paintings are on raw linen stretched canvas with three coats of archival varnish and are ready to hang together to make a long interesting artwork.

  • I am an avid bird photographer and was out recently photographing a particular tree. This beautiful eucalyptus was flowering profusely and I was concentrating on getting a good shot of the lovely flowers. All of a sudden these two lorikeets and a couple of other species landed in the tree giving me a wonderful opportunity to get some good shots.  I decided that this particular photo would make a great painting, so this is my impression of the colourful lorikeets feeding on the beautiful gum flowers. It has a real sunshine feel about it and would brighten up any room, bringing the outside in.

  • This large colourful painting was inspired by the falling leaves on my trees with all their wonderful colours.  It is painted with many layers of washes, lots of texture with the palette knife, and a very harmonious colour scheme. It would brighten up any room and add a colourful, cheerful feel.

  • Acrylic on paper

    100cm x 44.5cm

  • This abstract triptych was inspired by the beautiful sunset colours at the end of the day. Each one can be purchased separately or they can be bought and displayed as a single reasonably large painting. Put together they would make a lovely statement on any wall. They are heavily textured and very harmonious colours.

Framed under glass and ready to hang.

  • Another abstract impression of the wonderful area I live in. Noosa has so much to offer with its beautiful beaches, its national parks and the great lifestyle it offers. I feel blessed to be able to find the time to get out of my studio to enjoy all these lovely areas and come back full of inspiration to put it all down on the canvas. This would be a lovely reminder of wonderful holidays at the beach and the joy of watching the tide wash in and out.

  • This beautiful barn owl was part of the bird show at Alice Springs Desert Park. I wanted to paint it and so painted an impression of it with lots of texture and very harmonious colours.  The barn owls are moderately common but generally hard to see as they are mostly active at night. Their heart-shaped face is unique to these types of owls. They ave exceptional hearing and the slightest sound waves are channelled towards their ears allowing them to pinpoint prey even in complete darkness. It would be lovely to bring this lovely owl inside your home.

THIS PAINTING IS AVAILABLE AT POMONA RAILWAY GALLERY at present.  Please contact me if you have an interest in purchasing it.

  • This painting is of two beautiful Pale-headed rosellas. One flying in to check on the other.  I have called it Are You Okay as I want to remind people to check in on their family and friends and make sure they are okay during these difficult times. The painting is a somewhat stylised impression of the pretty rosellas amongst the trees in a swampy area near my home. It is a very harmonious piece of art and would be a reminder to always be there for others and to enjoy bringing a touch of the outdoors into your home.

  • Acrylic on canvas

    60cm x 60cm

  • This lovely magpie painting was inspired by the dozens of magpies who visit my front garden in search of worms and it is such a wonderful way to wake up in the morning listening to their beautiful warbling.  It would be a great way to bring nature inside and I think it would make you smile when you looked at it. Is a very harmonious, colourful and musical painting with some texture on it.

  • Acrylic on wood

    80cm x 80cm

  • This original abstract painting was inspired by the lovely reflections in the ponds in my local area. I take my camera down to them regularly to photograph birds and the beautiful reflections, and waterlilies are always so inspiring. It was done with many layers of transparent fluid acrylic and some palette knife strokes. It is a very harmonious painting and would make a lovely statement in any room.

  • Mixed media on canvas

    60cm x 60cm

  • This textured painting of a red-capped robin was done with many layers of colours over a very textured background. I wanted to depict the bird in an abstract background, which could be interpreted as a forest or branches of a tree. I love the outdoors and taking photographs of the birds for my paintings. This is a colourful and happy painting which would brighten any room and would be an excellent Christmas present.
