This is a painting where layers have been built up with the use of a catalyst wedge. Subdued pastel hues have been juxtaposed with, pink, dark emerald and deep grey to create a sense of contrast. Aesthetic appeal has been achieved in the sense of movement and folded texture. Mountain shapes have been painted across the artwork to give a sense of space. Finally, areas of the painting have been embellished with gold leaf to enhance the sense of direction and contrast. This large scale artwork would suit any contemporary space.

This large colourful artwork was inspired by nature, birds and shape. It was produced through the layering of transparent and opaque hues and pattern. The vibrancy of colour and the two bird images add to the aesthetic appeal in the work creating interest and drawing the viewer's eye. A sense of direction has been achieved with the addition of meandering line, pattern and arc shapes spread across the canvas. This large scale artwork would suit any contemporary home adding a pop of joyful colour into your space.

This artwork bursts with life, energy and joyful spontaneity, it tells a story rooted in nature, memory, and emotion. Titled conceptually as ‘Neon Blooms’, it is the vibrant expression of a moment where the natural world meets my inner world—an explosion of flowers, leaves, petals and abstract organic shapes rendered in exuberant, electric colour.
The dominant pinks, greens, oranges, and blues aren’t just decorative, they convey emotion. Pink radiates warmth and love, green symbolises rebirth and hope, blue offers peace and orange pulses with creativity and confidence. White line work outlines the floral forms as if illuminating each moment in time, giving order to the beautifully chaotic composition—like recalling clarity in a rush of memories.
This piece is alive. It can transform any space with its optimism and vibrancy. Whether hung in a living room, studio, office, or hallway, it will energise and uplift daily life.
With its abstract yet familiar forms, this artwork invites interpretation. Every viewer will find their own story among the petals and leaves. While it’s modern in its aesthetic, the subject matter—nature, growth, joy—is eternal. In a digital world, this painting reconnects us to the earth’s organic beauty and spontaneity. It radiates an authentic joy that only heartfelt, handcrafted art can offer. This is not just a decorative piece—it's a reminder to find color and beauty in every moment, a visual celebration of life’s abundance.

This artwork was inspired by all the beautiful flora that I have seen during spring. It is very different to my usual style, where I can be quite meticulous with detail and accuracy. This painting was a way to express a more spontaneous approach using many vibrant colours and overlapping layers to create an impasto surface texture. Following this, butterfly silhouettes were added with white to create a sense of shape and contrast. While producing this piece, I visited many different gardens and found myself getting lost in the detail and colour that spring creates.

This is painting where layers have been built up with the use of a catalyst wedge. Vibrant hues have been juxtaposed against a Paynes Grey background to create a strong sense of contrast. Following this, loosely painted flowers have been outlined along with other organic shapes. More Paynes Grey has been added around these shapes to enhance the contrast and make the flowers pop.

This extra large scale canvas represents my interest in shape, pattern and the use of vibrant hues in the production of artwork. The base layer has been built up with the use of a catalyst wedge followed by more deliberate brush work to define the mountain like shapes. Opaque layers of paint have been applied over some of the shapes to increase interest and draw the viewers eye. Finally, stencilling has been added, further enhancing aesthetic appeal in the work. I have titled this artwork 'I'll Meet You at Rainbows End’ because it represents to me a vision of a mountainous scene at the end of a rainbow.

This artwork is a play on positive and negative space. A base layer has been built up in the background with a catalyst wedge and stencil work. Following this, a final layer of white has been added to create the vine like shapes. Like previous artwork I have produced, this painting reflects my interest in colour, zentangle like shapes and stencil work.

This artwork has been produced to reflect my interest in stencil pattern and placement. The background was completed with the use of a catalyst wedge to build layers of subdued pastel hues. The pod shapes blocked out with a white border create a sense of contrast drawing the viewer's eye to the more intricate pattern detail.

This artwork is produced with impasto layers of oil paint blended with a fondant smoother. The result is an image of overlapped circular shapes creating a sense of movement and contrast. The title 'Luminous Rhythm' has been chosen to complement the idea of rhythmic movement and pattern and to explain the choice of colour scheme.

The base layer of this artwork was built up by overlapping magenta and emerald hues with a catalyst wedge to create a folded effect. Following this, more white has been added to enhance the sense of flowing movement and create greater contrast. Blending has been carried out to create depth in the work and finally, gold leaf to enhance aesthetic appeal and add more interest. The inspiration for this work comes from aerial views of the landscape and flowing rivers and rocks below.

'Thinking of Sarah' is a portrait built up with impasto to create interest in the surface texture. I have attempted to make the eyes and lips a focal point. The yellow floral texture to the side of the portrait helps create a sense of balance and leads the viewer's eye to these points. I have titled this portrait 'Thinking of Sarah' because she reminds me of a girl I know called Sarah who is currently in an induced coma. I wanted to dedicate this work to her to let her know I am thinking of her and hoping she gets through.

This artwork reflects my love of peacock feathers, in combination with my interest in pattern and stencil work. The background has been built up with beautiful flowing hues of teal, emerald and magenta. This has been contrasted with abstract leaf shapes and stencil work. Golden feathers have been created using impasto and lace moulds and these have been added to increase aesthetic appeal. Finally, a semi gloss coat of varnish has been applied to ensure adhesion of the impasto and produce a beautiful sheen over the entire canvas.

Charlie is a portrait of a beautiful macaw over an abstract backdrop. His pose and expression is a reflection of his quirky nature. Charlie is a member of a mobile zoo and he has visited many events in my local town. He loves a good chat and is very easy to get up close to. My aim in producing this artwork was to capture Charlie's features and contrast him with a backdrop that accentuates his personality.
