  • Just Before The Rains Came encapsulates a moment of anticipation and tension in nature,  rendered in a blend of blues and beige. The landscape is painted in oil, giving it a rich, textured quality that invites the viewer to dive deeper into the scene.

In the foreground, a solitary tree dominates the composition. Its trunk stands resilient, but what captures attention are the exposed roots, dramatically illustrated as they stretch outwards. These roots symbolize the tree’s desperation, actively searching for water in a parched land. The detail of the roots convey a sense of struggle and survival, invoking empathy from the observer. The beige tones of the ground amplify the sense of drought, contrasting with the impending relief that the clouds promise.

Every painting is thoughtfully signed on the front with my name, Lucinda, and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring that you are receiving an original work of art. The piece comes framed with a floating hand crafted oak frame.

  • Blue Blossom Tree is landscape in a rich tapestry of red tones that evoke both warmth and intensity. The foreground is dominated by a sprawling grassland, where the blades of grass shimmer in hues of deep crimson and scarlet defining the horizon.

Taking center stage is a striking blue tree, its trunk sturdy and gnarled, contrasting sharply with the surrounding warmth. The branches stretch outwards, adorned with blossoms that represent a stunning, almost surreal shade of blue—an infusion of azure and cobalt hues that radiate a sense of calm amidst the fiery landscape. • Beneath The Verdant Tempest begins with the wind.

Not a scream, not a howl, but a breath—warm and slow—rolling across the vast plain like a whisper of forgotten dreams. The sky above churns in hues of green, a storm not of anger, but of wild memory. Beneath it, a single tree stands at the center of the world, its leaves catching the twilight in shimmering pinks and oranges, as though the sun itself had bled into its branches.

The land stretches endlessly, pink and orange grasses, swaying as if bowing to the tree. No birds cry, no animals stir. Only the wind and the weight of something ancient fill the space.
And if you stand quietly before it, you may hear the wind begin again.

Not a scream, not a howl, but a breath. A beginning.

  • I am excited to share my latest piece, Insurgent Waters, which is a medium-sized original oil painting framed in a beautiful oak floating frame. This artwork is part of my “Songs Of The Sea” series and an extension of my exploration of solitary-themed paintings.

As I immerse myself in this creative journey, I realize that I am not quite finished with my exploration of solitude, and I continue to delve into these themed works. It was only recently that I became aware of how often my art leans towards a minimalist and uncluttered aesthetic—it’s a realization that had eluded me until now. This newfound clarity is becoming increasingly apparent in my recent pieces; perhaps it’s the result of a little soul-searching and self-discovery!
