This painting is an imagined landscape (not specifically representing any one place), but is very much based on the vast, open vistas I see when on road trips and holidays. The space is enormous and awe-inspiring and it's easy to realise what a small part we each play. We are significantly insignificant in this beautiful world.
The painting doesn't need to be framed and comes with a wire across the back, but a timber or white box frame would suit it beautifully.

The Beach at Potato Point was painted using a reference photo I took while camping at Potato Point, which is a few hours south of Sydney. It's a gorgeous spot, with fresh ocean air and friendly wildlife (sometimes too friendly!), perfectly located on a stretch of pristine beach. This is one of a series of paintings of this area, and in this one I wanted to capture the simplicity of its beauty. It's like travelling back in time and imagining these incredible coastal areas when nobody really knew about them. Nature at its best!
The painting is made using artist quality acrylic paint on quality Italian cotton canvas. It can be framed but doesn't need to be - the edges are painted as part of the image so it will still make an impact even without a frame.

This is an imagined piece based on my experiences in the beautiful Tilba region, located on the NSW south coast. We regularly holiday in the area and I just love the sweeping hills and rich greens. I've painted many pieces in the series now, beginning with more realistic representations of the area and moving towards more abstracted pieces. I hope to create a sense of beauty and calm amongst the intrigue of the seemingly never ending spaces in this gorgeous region.
This piece was created on a deep edge canvas and the edges have been painted to form part of the picture. It can be framed, but isn't necessary.

This modern painting was made using a reference photo taken from the car window as we passed through Gerringong. I love the way the light is highlighting the building, emphasizing it amongst the simplicity and beauty of the natural environment.
The painting has been framed in raw Tassie oak and looks beautifully finished. It would add a lovely splash of colour to any room and small enough to work beautifully in a salon hang.

In 2024, I completed an artist in residence program with Ocean Stays in Yamba which is an absolutely glorious spot on the NSW north coast. Yamba has always held a spot in my heart but I haven't been there for over 20 years, so I was utterly thrilled when asked to not only go there, but to paint it!
I took a million photos while we were there, using them all as reference photos for a series of Yamba paintings.
This one is Mornings in Yamba and features a protected, secluded little beach a stone's throw from our accommodation. On this particular morning, the water was clean and fresh and the waves were the perfect size to have a decent frolic without working hard!
This size painting is perfect for a small wall or part of a gallery hang, and could also work on a shelf or mantel. It's a great size for gifting, too, because it's an easy size to find a home for.

The Corner of Box Road is acrylic on Italian cotton canvas. It can be framed but doesn't need to be, as the edges are painted to form part of the painting. It comes with a wire across the back for hanging. Raw oak framing is recommended however, to finish the piece and make it sing!
The Corner of Box Road is a suburban streetscape that I started working on about 3 years ago! I parked it for a while when life got busy and then found it difficult to revisit, so it's been waiting patiently ever since. I recently pulled it out of hiding and was delighted to see it and felt ready to finish it. The Corner of Box Road is based on a pic I took on a morning walk back in 2022. Its fresh and sunny vibes create a real calmness, almost like a familiarity that leads to safety and happiness. I hope you love it!

I started painting the Tilba series back in 2019 and it has developed over time to incorporate bolder, brighter colours as it moves further away from the visual reality yet closer, in many ways, to the feeling of the area. Tilba is such a beautiful place with its rich soil and rolling hills just a stone's throw from the ocean. I can't wait to get back there!

Passing Maroota is a bright, colourful painting with lots of fresh green, evoking memories of crisp, fresh mornings. I made this painting from a picture I snapped when (you guessed it), passing Maroota on the way to our little winter getaway last year on The Hawkesbury River.
The bright colours can lift the space, while keeping a calm mood of serenity and comfort. This piece can be enjoyed from a distance or up close, making it easy to fit into any size room. It's large enough to make a statement, but also small enough to fit well on a gallery wall.

Every winter for the last five years or so, we've holidayed with friends at Del Rio Resort on the Hawkesbury River. It's only a couple of hours away from home so it's perfect for just a few days. We have happy hour each afternoon as the sun goes down, enjoying a favourite drink alongside crackers, dips, cheese, chips and whatever else we can get our hands on! The kids ride their bikes to the fire, nibble away on all sorts of treats and disappear again when they've had their fill. Eventually, all the adults accept the fact that we have to go and cook dinner, but we reconvene afterwards for another beverage and to toast marshmallows. It's a perfect evening!
This is the view from that area in the morning, when we've resurfaced to brave the day and prepare for it all to start again. It's a beautiful view in daylight and in the evening, as the sun sets, these hills light up with a rich gold that will likely be captured in a future painting.
It's acrylic on gallery wrapped deep-edge canvas. The sides of the canvas are painted to incorporate the image. It can be framed but isn't necessary - it's ready to hang as it is.

On a day trip to the beautiful Kiama, I snapped a couple of pics from the car. I used one of them as a reference for this painting. It was a lovely sunny day, so there were plenty of people about, but I chose to remove the others to keep the focus on this couple. There are so many questions about this pair and I wanted to create a piece that, whilst simple at a glance, led the viewer to question what is actually happening here. Is this a couple who has been together so long they are completely at ease with one another? No need to hold hands, they simply need to get somewhere. Or is there a dark undercurrent? Perhaps an earlier argument that has led to some tension they are both trying to ignore? Is it an awkward first date?
People and relationships are complicated and I hope I've captured this whilst still creating a piece that is bright, fun, modern and what can hopefully be a talking point in someone's home! This painting is created using quality artist acrylic paints on canvas. It is ready to hang and, whilst it can be framed, it doesn't need to be. The edges are painted to include part of the image so it will still look impactful without a frame.

Tilba - What a View is one of my favourite Tilba paintings to date. One of the more reaslistic paintings in the series, this painting captures the beauty of the rolling hills, ponds and perfect skies of Tilba.
The painting includes a raw Tassie oak frame and is made with artist quality acrylic paint on Italian cotton canvas.

I've painted Potato Point many times now in various sizes and styles, and at various times of the day. This is the first painting of the beautiful beach in the middle of the day, with bright blue skies, warm green grass and bright, hot sand! This beach is part of a campsite in the national park. You can camp right here (this view is from our tent on a camping trip a couple of years ago) - no better view to wake up to! There are kangaroos and emus and dolphins (and snakes, but we don't focus on that of course hehe), and we once found a turtle the size of a fifty cent piece. He'd gotten lost and was in danger of being stepped on or squished by a bike so we carried him over to the pond and set him free - I really hope he found his mumma! It's a magical part of the world.
The painting comes in a raw oak frame with a Certificate of Authenticity.
This painting would look great on its own or as part of a salon hang. It's bright and cheerful and guaranteed to brighten any space!

Water Views 2 - Beauty by the Bay is a larger version of Water Views, an earlier piece depicting a simplified view of the gorgeous Gunnamatta Bay in Sydney's Sutherland Shire. This modern painting gives calm, coastal vibes and features the natural, soothing colours of the beach with a vibrancy of bright daylight. The size is impactful and would look wonderful on a crisp white wall.
Painting comes framed in raw oak (which perfectly compliments the coastal vibe) and with a Certificate of Authenticity.
