We all get the blues from time to time. It's a part of life sadly. But the kind of blues in this gorgeous new beachscape are the happy kind! The kind of blues that take your breath away; that lift spirits, speak to your soul, and make your heart sing.
All shades of beautiful blues that soothe, heal and restore. That bring contentment, comfort and moments that will be held as cherished memories long after they've passed. Bold, bright, beautiful blues that remind us when the other kind of blue days find us - and let's face it they will - that fresh hope lives just on the horizon, within the power and wonder of boundless blue seas and infinite blue skies.

With every breath, there's release. A letting go of what has been held for too long; pain, frustration, confusion, anger, grief...whatever it is that we're holding onto so tightly.
Like the breeze across the coastline, each breath carries away what no longer needs to be held. Clarity comes not through direction, but through acknowledgement and acceptance. It's a quiet trust that moving forward is still possible, even without clear direction or answers.
This new atmospheric coastscape invites this reflection. Though what's ahead may still be blurred and uncertain, we can pause here and rest. Rest in the in-between moments where hope lives in the inhale and exhale...and where with every breath we find a bit more courage, a bit more strength, and renewed hope for the way ahead.

‘The coast carries a pulsating rhythm that tends to awaken even the most weary soul'. This statement is certainly true for me. Every tide shifting, every wave crashing, every breeze felt, every heartbeat speaks of rest, hope, joy and renewal.
This place offers refuge and sanctuary. It's both timeless and alive. It's where my spirit can exhale, where I find contentment, where I feel at peace, and where restoration can begin.
With every heartbeat I rediscover purpose, strength, resilience and, most importantly, hope.

This is the kind of day where you leave all your worries behind. The road whispers you to follow, and you do, because ahead is the beautiful coastline. Holidays. Time to unwind, relax, and bask in the warmth of summer sun. To remember what ease feels like; bare feet, salty hair, sand between toes, cool water on skin...where days are unhurried, unplanned, and contentment and joy don't need to shout to be felt, they gently lean in and say, “Just like this.”
This pretty coastscape invites you to finish your own story: to take the road through lush quiet countryside and remember happy holidays at the beach; the feelings evoked, the moments cherished, the fun experienced, and have you anticipating many more beautiful hope-filled days ahead...just like this.

I thank God for this; for the ability to paint, for this place, for the colours that make my heart sing, for the emotion it evokes and the exhale it forces.
I thank God for this; for the memories that resurface, for the anticipation of holidays to come, for the moments that linger long after I leave.
I thank God for this: for the beauty in a dusk sky, for the sound of waves meeting shoreline, for the breeze that carries away tension and frustrations.
And then,
For the reminder of new hope in every day, a peace that passes all understanding, and a joy and light that darkness can't steal. I thank God for this.

An Exhale Shared evokes the special moments shared together wandering a quiet empty beach when pressures lift, tensions ease, and struggles subside...when the moment is more about presence than circumstance, and connection more than conversation.
This new small original invites you in to this moment. To let the noise of the outside world slip away as you pause and reflect on all things life; breathing in fresh coastal air and breathing out all the day's frustrations, and challenges...replacing chaos with calm, anxiety with peace, and fear with hope.NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. I can't help but exhale here. There's something almost sacred about the coastline after a storm has passed over, when the usually warm beach sand is cool underfoot and the beach is empty, but for yourselves. The rain has washed away the debris of all that came before and everything feels fresh and made new. There's a solace and comfort in that like no other.
Words can't often explain it; it's a feeling, an emotion evoked, a connection with who you're with, a presence that gently whispers to a troubled and weary soul, 'it's ok, it's ok to let go here.’
Here, I can't help but exhale.

What the Heart Sees reflects a fleeting moment at sunset, as the warmth of the sun's sinking rays casts a radiant glow over all it touches below. Here, where the land and waters meet, the heart softens, the mind rests, outside noise is hushed. Nothing is demanded or expected here except to simply bask in the wonder and beauty of nature...and let the heart feel and see what it needs to.
In simply being present - opening our hearts to quiet moments often taken for granted - we can let go of any frustrations and challenges that seek to overwhelm. In doing so we can be reminded that renewal and hope come not through striving, but in acceptance and contentment of what already is, and receiving it in gratitude.

There's no weakness in surrendering. Only strength. When waves come crashing into our lives it can be easy to get swept up in the turmoil and chaos. Darkness can seek to overwhelm, but we have the power to make a choice...to choose light.
Surrendering in the moment takes courage. Accepting and acknowledging dark times allows us to release them and let them go. It empowers us to move forward. Towards light. Light that washes over us in hope. Hope that offers sanctuary, safe harbour, and ultimately, a way forward.
