"It’s Hyyyyydromatic", an aptly titled still life painting of a 'vintage' Grease videotape.
As part of an ongoing obsession with pop culture, I came across this old video and knew immediately I had to paint it for my most recent collection.
A background inspired by 90s skate, and a detailed expressive study of the video cover.
My painting, as always, is intended to capture my subject in a playful manner, not striving for perfection but the perfect imperfection.
It does not require framing, as the sides are painted and sealed with varnish. It is ready to hang.
This original painting is signed on the front and labelled in archival pen on the back. I also provide a Certificate Of Authenticity.

"Enter At Your Own Risk" is part of my most recent Retro Collection.
This nostalgic piece was painted as I reflected on my own rebellious youth.
A collection of cassettes, candy, games, and 80s and 90s videos have influenced this body of work.
As we worked through storage boxes, we found this iconic key and I knew straight away it had to be painted.
With a striped background, influenced by my own love of striped tees, this was a fun work to create.
It is certain to bring joy to your walls.
The sides of the canvas have been painted, it is protected with a gloss varnish and has a hanging system on the back. This painting is ready to display on your walls.

“Cold Tea And Crackers”, a new still life from my ‘Motherhood’ collection.
This painting captures that moment when you finally collapse onto the couch, you finally sit down after running the hamster wheel all morning, but your cup of tea has gone cold. The only food you had the energy to make was to throw some crackers into a bowl. This is the epitome of ‘mum life’.
Striking angles, rich colours and attention to detail in this piece. The coffee cup sits beside a pile of remotes, that are captured in ‘50 shades of grey’. The oranges of the tabletop in the background set off the light blue coffee cup.
Details of reflections and shadows in the cup of tea and a bold background, the painting is finished off with a professionally fitted, black frame.

From my ‘Motherhood’ collection, “The Grater View From Here" is a creative way to express the chaos of life as a mother.
So often I have found myself stuck in the kitchen preparing food for my forever "hungry" kids. Relatable as this may be, working from home I bring my artworks into my house to view them on my own walls before signing them off.
In the background hangs my ‘rage’ painting and a beautiful piece by a local artist capturing Mojos music venue.
As always my kitchen bench is cluttered with drink bottles and cutlery. Housework now coming second to my art.
This is a snapshot from my own life, this pink and aqua painting is finished in an oak frame.

It is rare these days that I paint organic subjects, but I have just had a bit of a 'banana phase'.
After my daughter began refusing to eat 'dirty' bananas (aka ripe bananas with black spots on them), they very quickly become a studio muse.
This work titled Potassium is my take on a banana painting, a playful pop art influence on an otherwise 'dull subject'.
The yellows and golds look fabulous in the background, really highlighting the yellow banana.
The colours are rich and banana has been painted with meticulously layered expressive brushstrokes.
All my works are professionally finished, painted to edges and sealed/protected with a gloss varnish.
This would make a fun addition to any art collection.

"The Neverending Story - The 2nd Cycle", from my new 'Motherhood' collection, is the second in what might be an ever-growing collection of washing machine paintings.
A subject that I continue to fall in love with, transparency and reflections are an absolute joy for me to paint.
This painting captures the never ending story that comes with having a family. From the washing machine to the couch, clothes seem to be endlessly in the cycle of rinse and repeat.
A subject most parents can relate too.

Pop!! In Pink!!
As I child I would stop by the local corner store to select lollies from the counter. I would always make sure to pay 20c for a handful of strawberry clouds. This whimsical painting is a nod to my own childhood, a playful piece that will make a statement on any wall.
