Red is for lovers everywhere and this red flower is gorgeous and unique. It is the Red lechenaultia or Lechenaultia formosa. It is the floral emblem of Kojonup in Western Australia, but grows over a wide area from near the South Australian border, to Geraldton in the mid west of WA. The colours range from yellow to orange to red. I grew this one in my garden and it turned out a rich velvety crimson.

  • Print on canvas

    56cm x 56cm x 3cm

  • Giclée print on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed and numbered on the back.

Australian orchids are so unique. This is a cluster of Donkey orchids that caught my eye as I wandered through the bush.
This print is ready to hang on your wall with the image continuing around the sides of the frame, so no need for decorative framing.
You will love this hanging on your wall and receiving compliments from your visitors. The earthy tones are calming and peaceful.

  • Print on canvas

    30.5cm x 30.5cm x 3cm

  • Print on stretched canvas.

The print is continued around the sides of the frame, so it doesn't need a decorative frame and is ready to hang on your wall.

All I have to do to be inspired is take a walk around my bush yard and collect the gumnuts. They grow on the local Marri (Indigenous word for blood) trees which also ooze a beautiful red resin on hot days. The Red-tailed black cockatoos love the seeds inside the gumnut and sit in the gum trees dropping the nuts on the ground.

Wouldn't you love to have this in your home? You'd impress your visitors. The earthy colours will suit every decor.

  • I just love working with orange! Orange is for the brave. Here I wanted to also paint white. What colour is white? It is a reflection of the colours around it. This was a happy break from my botanical studies and I feel I have control over the arrangements of still life.

    Ready to hang.
