Another wonderful dog on the sofa painting is complete. A beautiful dachshund lives in this household. He may be slightly overweight and a little cheeky and looks stunning on his favourite chair, leg over the edge and all!! I'm enjoying painting these lovely lucky dogs. This series represents what dogs mean to us and how we have brought them into our lives.

This piece was inspired by our throwaway world and how products and brands can be around for only a short time. The irony is the elderly man walking past a closed down and dilapidated store with his newly purchased item from the tried and true Route 66 shop.

I was motivated to paint this painting from a photo I discovered taken by photographer, Joakim Eskildsen, in 1986 (painted with Joakim's permission). The photo was taken from a gorgeous landscape scene in Denmark in 1986 and was one of Joakim's first pictures. He is a renowned photographer.

I charge $25.00 to ship my works within Australian and $37.00 to ship internationally. My works are shipped via Australia Post, usually within 2-3 days of their sale.
Please be aware that I do not currently offer framing.
I do accept returns, provided the artwork is posted back and received in its original condition.
