Inspired by Holger Drachmann (1846–1908)
The sea holds a power beyond prediction—a force that humbles and challenges all who dare to race across it. Chasing the Horizon captures the drama and determination of a sailing vessel battling wind and waves, its sails full and angled against the swell. This dynamic oil painting evokes the spirit of 19th-century maritime adventure, referencing the work of Holger Drachmann while bringing a contemporary emotional lens to the timeless struggle between man and nature.
Painted with expressive brushwork and atmospheric light, this piece speaks to the courage of those who chase the finish line, knowing the ocean answers to no one. A tribute to resilience, history, and the thrill of the unknown.

A sailboat glides homeward through tranquil waters, its silhouette softened by mist and memory. A Sailboat’s Return is a deeply atmospheric seascape painted from my mind’s eye, using professional-grade oil paints blended with cold wax medium. The palette knife technique lends texture and movement, while the wax reveals hidden layers beneath—creating a dreamlike haze that captures the mystic pull of the ocean.
This impressionistic work invites quiet reflection and a sense of longing, perfect for collectors drawn to emotional landscapes and the poetry of the sea.

Eye of the Tiger is an original wildlife painting created using professional‑grade oil paints and expressive palette knife techniques. This abstract impressionistic tiger artwork captures the raw intensity, emotion, and presence of one of nature’s most powerful animals.
Inspired by a remarkable moment at the Adelaide Zoo, this piece focuses on the tiger’s mesmerising gaze. While surrounded by tourists trying to get the perfect photo, I fumbled with my phone—unlocking it, framing the shot, zooming in—when suddenly the tiger turned and held direct eye contact with me. For a few still, electric seconds, time stopped. It felt as though he understood, patiently waiting until I captured the reference images I needed. Then, just as quietly, he looked away.
That unforgettable connection is the heart of this painting. The bold textures, layered colour, and energetic palette‑knife strokes highlight the tiger’s eyes—symbolising strength, awareness, and the silent communication between human and animal.
This artwork is perfect for collectors who love tiger art, big cat paintings, wildlife wall art, animal portraits, Australian art and contemporary impressionism. It brings a sense of power, mystery and wild beauty to any home, office, or gallery space.

Aquatic Eden is an original palette-knife oil painting inspired by the quiet beauty of waterlilies floating across a reflective pond with a waterfall backdrop.
I have always been drawn to waterlilies and hidden places. This piece is from my imagination with drawn reference to spots I have found during my travels around Australia, especially in the top end around the Kimberley Region.
Rich texture, layered colour and expressive mark-making create a lively, abstract–impressionistic surface that draws the viewer into the movement of the water and the delicate blooms rising from it.
Deep greens, soft blues, hints of yellow and vibrant rose tones interact across the canvas, giving the piece a sense of depth and natural rhythm. The oil textures catch the light beautifully, making it a striking focal point in any room.
This one-of-a-kind artwork is created using professional artist-grade oils in an impressionistic style, and softened in effect with a cold wax.
Perfect for collectors of floral art, contemporary impressionism, and original Australian paintings. Ready to hang and enjoy.
