This vibrant cityscape captures Brisbane at mango-toned sunset, seen from the Kangaroo Point cliffs. The skyline stretches across the horizon with the numerous landmarks- Story Bridge, Kurilpa Bridge Neville Bonne Bridge, the Brisbane Wheel and well-known architectural landmarks. Warm reflections ripple along the Brisbane River -affectionately known as the “Brown Snake” – as day slides into evening.
In the foreground, the playful Wormhole playground sculptures by Alexander Knox, curl and lounge, adding a joyful, distinctly Brisbane character to the scene. The other public art piece is Venus Rising by Wofgang Buttress, a 23metre-tall, stainless steel, Fibonacci spiral sculpture. This serves as a beacon on the cliff top and can be easily spotted by city-cat travellers from the river below.
The contrast between organic forms and the ordered geometry of the towers and bridges brings movement, colour and warmth to this contemporary landscape.

The Ibis and the Owl is a playful love letter to Brisbane’s inner-city river suburbs. In the foreground, our cheeky ibis mistakes the decorative verandah brackets of a classic Queenslander house for an owl. You can also spot a cute little Bronco’s garden gnome on the steps of his home - a little moment of humour hidden among the colour and pattern.
Behind the layers of subtropical gardens and heritage homes, the Brisbane River winds past familiar landmarks, including the Brisbane Powerhouse with the iconic FLOOD sculpture, the old CSR sugar refinery, now known as Cutter’s Landing, and the area of Teneriffe, Hardcastle Park by the heritage-listed Hawthorne Citycat stop. A vibrant celebration of Brisbane’s architecture, wildlife and river life, where the everyday becomes art.

In 2022, Airbnb teamed up with the beloved children's show Bluey® to create an enchanting replica of the Heeler family home, nestled in the picturesque inner-city suburb of Red Hill. For a limited time, this whimsical Bluey House was listed on Airbnb, providing a unique opportunity for one fortunate family to spend a delightful weekend immersed in the colourful world of Bluey’s adventures. After that magical weekend came to a close, the house was restored to its classic colonial Queenslander style, transformed with the removal of architectural elements like the front gable and bay window. It was then painted all white and sold for a lot of dollar bucks!
The artwork Stripes at the Bluey House captures this charming setting in its brief existence. It showcases a friendly magpie named Stripes, who pays a visit, sparking a cheerful conversation with the three whimsical Bluey Bunnings® garden gnomes that adorn the garden. The scene encapsulates the spirit of community, friendship, and the joy that Bluey brings to families everywhere.

Citrus Allsort is a joyful celebration of Brisbane’s iconic Queenslanders nestled within a lush, patchwork landscape of colour. This painting bursts with clusters of citrus-toned blossoms and dotted foliage.
A lively mix of architectural styles steps down the canvas: classic timber Queenslanders, gabled cottages and character-filled verandahs, each painted in delicious “allsort” colours that echo the sweetness of childhood lollies. Pops of citrus yellow, mandarin orange, grapefruit pink and lime green lead the eye through the painting, creating visual pathways that dance between the houses like sunlight through the suburban streets.
In the distance, the silhouette of the city rises above the Brisbane River and the treetops of New Farm Park.
